Bishop Oldes is a preacher, teacher, musician, songwriter, mentor, author, digital creator, model, businessman, a proud husband of Lady Nicole Oldes and the loving father of one daughter, Lundyne Oldes. He is also known as the “Skating Bishop.” Bishop Oldes is a man of God who is reaching millions with his unique combination of ministry and entertainment. He is one of the most successful digital/content creators in the DMV and a rising influencer across the world. He faithfully Pastors the Liberty House International and is a model for those who wish to learn how to successfully brand their gifts and talents while keeping Jesus at the forefront.

Bishop Vance R. Oldes was born and raised in Washington, DC. He accepted salvation in 1975 at the age of 10. Although he received Christ at a young age, he later found himself trapped in a world of drugs, and crime. In time, God spoke to his heart and his transformation process started. He began preaching in 1994 and was ordained through the Baptist Church in 1998. Bishop Oldes’ vision for the Liberty House Ministries is “To save and liberate the lost and captive through lifestyle evangelism. And to provide a seeker sensitive service, where needs are met and true freedom lives”.

On May 5, 2008, Bishop Oldes birthed an interdenominational fellowship, which consist of various ministries that he covers and give instrumental oversight to those he serves. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the Washington Baptist Seminary in May of 2012. October 9, 2019, he was consecrated as a Bishop in the Lord’s church under the auspices of The Presiding Prelate Bishop Glen A. Staples of the Temple Of Praise International Fellowship of Churches Inc. Bishop Oldes is a fiery, dynamic preacher and teacher, as well as a natural-born leader, who has a magnetic personality complimented by a loving spirit. Although Bishop Oldes thoroughly enjoys preaching and ministering through music, his primary passion is winning souls for the Kingdom of God. It is quite natural for him to stop a stranger and strike up a conversation about the plan of salvation–and they soon accept Christ.

Nicole C. Oldes, a native of Maryland and is the wife of Bishop Vance R. Oldes and First Lady of Liberty House International Ministries in Landover, MD.

Mrs. Oldes serves in several capacities as an exemplary leader and an example of a virtuous woman. She worked for 20 years in nursing, and currently lends her service and talent in many areas. Mrs. Oldes also mentors and provides guidance to those wives whose husbands are working in Liberty House Ministries, assisting Bishop Oldes.

In 2007, she started co-partnering with a group of developers, called Business for Billionaires(B4B), to aid in the development of revitalizing communities through economic advancement. One of their primary focuses is to build safe havens, where the destitute can be empowered to become socially and spiritually mature individuals.

Lady Oldes has directed and administered the Stewardship/Accounting Ministry for 19years. She is also the Leader of the Women Ministry at Liberty. Lady Oldes presently serve as Chief Executive Administrative Officer of Liberty House International Ministries, assisting the Bishop in all of the administrative and corporate duties of the ministry; including overseeing personnel benefits, facility acquisition and maintenance, construction management, budgeting, accounting and stewardship, marketing, ministries operations, and etc. Lady Oldes also ensures that her other covenant relationships are well maintained, and she faithfully serves as her husband’s helpmate.

Church History

As God has prepared a way for His people to be free to serve Him, a movement was created. The Lord has fostered a magnetic personality, with a specific intent for His people in our leader, Bishop Vance Oldes. While serving as the Youth Pastor and Street Ministry leader at Ark of Safety Christian Church, his heart was ignited to organize a ministry, and in July 2006, the Liberty House Ministries was formulated. As God would have it, Bishop Oldes was committed to occupy the position as Pastor, but only with God providing the way and means to begin. It was a humble beginning in the lower level of a private home in Clinton, Maryland.

As God preordained the gifts in our leader, Bishop Oldes was equipped to start the ministry with seven members, where he ushered the Spirit in the atmosphere with songs and playing the keyboard, preached the Word, and took offering. In the meantime, services continued to be held in the one room of the house that held approximately 45 persons. Within two weeks after the church began, a new location was needed.

As God has rasied our Bishop from the streets, our Bishop then returned to the streets - but this time, with the Word of God. Bishop Oldes’ motto is Going Beyond the Bricks. He refuses to create another church club or to conduct a Sunday manitee for people to come and watch, but he desires for people to have their lives changed by the Power of God. We are here and actively witnessing what God has justified. We all have experienced things in our lives that equipped us for this time. This movement is strategically designed to rescue the perishing from the bondages of life.

Our Bishop vision is to trained to seek the lost and to provide a seeker-sensitive service where needs are met. This church has become a solution driven, faith-based action program that meets people where they are, and looks past their outward appearances in order to appeal to their hearts and save their souls, whereby all of the hurt and pain inside of people will be conformed to strength, liberty, endurance, and purpose.

Now with a membership of 500 people, we are seeking to relocate to prepare people for the work of Kingdom Building. The Liberty House Ministries movement is to serve and to connect with the body and the community. This movement also strives to provide a more standard life practice of God’s Word to its members. We strive to be 100% tithers, home owners, and debt-free!

  • The Scriptures

    The Bible from Genesis to Revelation is the Inspired Word of God. The Bible is complete and should not be added to or taken away from.

    2 Timothy 3:16.

  • The Godhead

    God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are one in unity, referred to as the Trinity, and are co-existent, co-equal, and co-eternal.

    1 John 5:7.

  • Man, Man's Fall, and Redemption

    Man was created in the Likeness of God, but because fo Adam’s fall, sin came into the world. All have sinned at one time or another and are guilty of God’s judgement, but because Jesus died on the cross, He paid the debt for our sins.

    Ephesians 5:7, Romans 3:23 & 6:23, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-9.

  • Salvation

    Freedom from sin has been made possible through God’s grace. By simply confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness from Jesus, all of our past sins are erased and we are made brand new in God’s sight.

  • The Church

    The true church is made up of a group of people who believe in and live for Jesus Christ. We believe it is important and necessary to attend church as often as possible.

  • Hebrews 10:24-25 Baptism

    Baptism is to be fully submerged under water and is a direct command of Jesus. This is a representation of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. We are to die to our old way of living, bury our sins, and begin a new life in Jesus.

    Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4-11.

  • Baptism of the Holy Spirit

    The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God. It is a promise from Jesus Christ to be received after Salvation.

    Matthew 3:11, John 14:16-17, Ephesians 1:13-14.

  • Sanctification

    The Bible teaches that without Holiness, no man will see the Lord. This is not an overnight transition, but a progressive work starting from the day of salvation. This process is called Sanctification.

    Hebrews 12:14, 1 Corinthians 6:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

  • The Lord's Supper/Communion

    The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is a commandment of Jesus Himself, in memory of His death, burial, and resurrection. It is limited to Christian believers.

  • The Resurrection of the Just/The Rapture

    The Bible promises that “This same Jesus shall so come in like manner.” His coming in imminent. When He comes, “the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” Following the tribulation, He shall return to Eart as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years.

    Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:6.

  • The Lord's Return

    It is unwise to teach that the Lord will come at some specified time, thereby setting a date for His appearing. It is also unwise to teach, preach, or publish visions of numbers and dates which would tend to fix the time of the Second Coming of the Lord. We believe the Bible presents the coming of Christ as personal imminent pre-tribulation and pre-millennial. We further contend that this position alone admonishes watchfulness, incites Holy living, prevents spiritual declension, and provides maximum incentive and motive for urgency and zeal in evangelizing the unsaved.

    Mark 13:32-33.

  • Hell and Eternal Retribution

    The one who physically dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire, and therefore has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or for repentance. The lake of fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence - as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstacy of saints in the presence of God.

  • Human Sexuality

    God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe that the only marriage is the joining of one biologically born man and one biologically born woman through Holy Matrimony and not through Common Law.
